Updo, Up-Style Testimonials

"As someone with very straight hair that refuses to hold a curl, I was a worried when my friend asked me to stand up in her waterfront wedding in Florida. I thought for sure the humidity would leave my hair a flat, straggly mess before the ceremony could even begin.

So instead of fighting with my hair, my stylist used DoFaux to create a beautiful updo with lots of curls- it was amazing!!! The hairdo only took about 20 minutes and I got tons of compliments- even the wedding photographer wanted to know who did my hair! And eight hours later when the reception was over, my hair still looked perfect- not a curl out of place.

Less time with better results- I'll never get an updo without Do-faux again!"

"I have long been the "poster girl" for fine thin hair that just won't do anything, so believe me when I say "I love DoFaux! Women with beautiful updos I always envied knowing that I could never have that look. One afternoon my stylist and I were talking and I mentioned that I wished it were possible to do something a little fancier for and upcoming wedding. She suggested DoFaux. I couldn't believe it, my hair looked great and so natural. I am very pleased that Do Faux is so versatile. My stylist had to have the minor surgery and could not do my hair for a special event. I called another salon, brought in my Do Faux kit and was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

Looking great once again.

Thank You Do-faux!"

"I have a dilemma, I have very fine hair and I am a ballroom dancer. This is a combination which does not make great hair days. I had a formal dance affair to attend and wanted to wear my hair in an up do, however I knew that my own hair would not hold up with dancing all night. My stylist suggested that she add Do-Faux hair in my up do. She said it was 100% human hair and she could perfectly match my color. She also said instead of me sitting in her chair for an hour or more, she could be done in twenty to twenty-five minutes.

Since time was a factor for me, I told her I would be happy to try it. Wow! Happy is an understatement! Not only did my hair stay in all night, but it was perfect the next day too! It looked so natural, like an extension of my own hair. Everyone loved my hair and no one suspected it wasn't all mine. I know it states that they are for one time use, however mine can definitely be used again. I love Do-Faux, it saved me time and money and it looked great!

"I have very fine hair ,which has trouble growing past a certain length. After years of dealing with long hair that never held style, I made an appointment to cut it all off. I fell in love with my new short hair.

It was only a few days after the appointment that my girlfriend asked me to stand up in her summer wedding. I was excited to be a part of the big day, but I was also worried about how I was going to get my hair in an up-do. I knew I didn't have the time or patience to grow my hair out again. That is when my stylist told me about Do-faux. I was shown pictures of how other women's' hair turned out using the product, and was very impressed.

I made an appointment for the morning of the wedding with my stylist. Going in I was still a little skeptical of how my hair would turn out. I sat down in the chair at 7:15am and by 7:45 my hair was in a perfect up-do. I was shocked to say the least. The curls looked and felt like my natural hair. No one could tell the difference. She had taken my fine short hair and created the illusion of long full hair (something I've always wanted).

The other girls in the wedding party couldn't believe it either. They were jealous of how wonderful my hair looked and held up through out the staggering heat and humidity all day. While trying to re-pin her wilting curls back into place, a woman in the ladies room at the reception asked me how my hair continued to look just as good as it had that morning. I told her about Do-faux.

When I returned home nearly sixteen hours after my appointment that morning, not one curl was out of place. What a truly wonderful product! It made the seemingly impossible, possible with my hair. And for one day I was able to have the hair that I've always wanted. I will never have another up-do without Do-faux. Thank you!

"I had my hair styled using the Do-Faux products/method for a wedding that I was in on February 16, 2008. I should start by saying that I have very long, very thick, very heavy hair. It is very difficult just to get a curl in it.

Since it's so heavy, any curl that you can get in it isn't going to stay for very long. I have had up-do's in the past that have taken hours to do, nly to have them take another hour or so and the end of the night to undo. When I learned about the Do-Faux hair styles, I knew this would be exactly what I needed for this wedding.

I arrived at the bride's parents' house around 10:30 in the morning in order to help everyone out before they had to rush to their hair appointments. Since they knew they would have a lot of product put in their hair that could also get on their faces, they didn't want their make-up completely done yet. While the bride, matron of honor, and another bridesmaid had their hair appointments at 11:30 in the morning for "traditional" up-do's, I didn't make my Do-Faux appointment until 1:30 in the afternoon. That gave me time in the morning to have some breakfast, relax with the bride's family, do my make-up, and do make-up for the mother of the bride. There was no rushing or stress. When I arrived for my appointment, Dorothy simply braided my hair and tucked the ends in to create a nice base for the Do-Faux curls.

The curls matched my hair color perfectly. She worked her magic, pinning the curls in place, creating what looked like a "traditional" up-do that normally would have taken hours. Plus, I didn't have to worry about getting my make-up ruined since Dorothy barely had to use any hairspray at all! Everything was in place and secure within 15 minutes. There were no hairpins poking me. My hair wasn't pulled so taut that it itched. Best of all, all I had left to do was head back to the brides' parent's house and put my dress on. I was out the door and back at the bride's parents' house by 2:00pm.

When I arrived, the other girls still hadn't gotten back from their hair appointments yet. The photographer was scheduled to be at the house for pictures by 3:00. We were supposed to be at the hall by 4:15 because the wedding was to start at 5:15. I again, lounged around at relaxed. I got the flower girls and junior bridesmaid dressed and made sure that everyone else's dresses were ready to go for when they finally arrived. The photographer arrived just before 3:30 and the other girls still weren't back. Finally, they arrived around 3:45, late, stressed out, and panicking.

I did make up for the bride and matron of honor and we all got dressed. While the other girls had to worry about making sure tehy didn't "bump" their hair while getting dressed, I was free to move about as I pleased. If anything did pull out one of my curls, all I would have had to do was pin it back in place, but that never happened. I thought that the hairstyles on the other girls didn't look as put-together as mine did. They had a few stray hairs here and there that needed to be twisted and pinned back up, or else that had pins showing where their hair had been tucked up. My style, on the other hand, looked classic, smooth, and neat, without looking overly prim or uptight.

Since there had been so much delay at the house, we arrived at the hall at 5:00...when the wedding was about to begin. Everything went beautifully, and we all had a great time. Everyone told the story of how I, with the longest, most difficult hair of the bridal party, had my hair done by one stylist in 15 minutes, while the other girls had multiple stylists working on their hair for over 3 hours. Throughout the evening, people made comments on how much they loved my hairstyle.

I've known most of the bride's family for over 20 years. So, they know what my hair really looks like and how difficult it is to style. They couldn't believe that the curls they saw (and felt) weren't actually my real hair. I explained the process to them, and even removed a curl while in the bridal dressing room just to show them how the style had been created. While the other girls could be seen tugging at hairpins or itching their necks where their hair had been pulled too tightly, I was able to relax and enjoy the evening. The best part of it all was that, at the end of the night, when I got home, I had all of the curls out of my hair so that I could go to bed within 5 minutes. I was absolutely amazed at the ease and comfort of everything involved with the Do-Faux products/method. Nothing about my hairstyle looked fake. Most people actually didn't believe that it wasn't my real hair.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to have their hair styled quickly and easily. I know that I will always use Do-Faux for any future events that warrant a quick and easy up-do, formal, or even semi-formal hair style."
